I have never played an online game before, but I have decided to plunge into the world of “Travian” and see what its like. So far I have built a few buildings and started mining, growing crops etc. My screen name is “Dickus” and I am a Roman. My village is called “Harold Hill” which is actually a place in East London where I used to hang out as a kid. A couple of days ago I requested an army which was going to take about 2 days to get to me. This morning, I woke up to find they have all been killed on the way. Who would do this? I shall keep you informed.

I am delighted to report that my son’s band Black Shadow won their primary school’s annual Battle of the Bands contest today with their version of I Don’t Wanna Grow Up.
